Enjoying the great outdoors is in my blood! Trips into the mountains of New Mexico, the beaches of Florida and the Carolinas, and the many varied terrains of my home State of Texas are all part of my memory and future. This natural pursuit began before I was even self aware of my life or surroundings. As a child, my parents would regularly take our family on outdoor adventures. Staying at home on the weekends wasn’t the norm and video games…HA! Yes, even back then we had an Intellivision gaming system and a home computer, but these were mere novelties to us at the time. The real fun was in the wide open spaces of our world.
Our first trips were very simple and required little more than a tent and some cooking gear. As I have matured and found new places to visit and new ways to visit them, my need for additional camping gear has grown. I still believe in a more purist camping experience, but I also very much enjoyed the times that I was able to camp with my dad in his mode of camping. Dad always enjoyed campers more than tents and over the years he experimented with different rv motorhomes
. I always jabbed at his taking the house with him, but there were some times that I was very thankful for the creature comforts of an RV.
