You don’t have to go outside to realize that the Summer temperatures are rising. A quick glance at your power bill is all you need to inform you that your attic is heating up. A great way to reduce the heat leaking into your home is to protect your attic with a radiant barrier.
These economical barriers reject much of the heat coming into your home and thus reduce the amount of time your air conditioner needs to run. There are several types of radiant barrier available, but I have been installing bubble insulation and aluminum insulation in my own attic.
My work is not yet complete, but I have already noticed a difference in the amount of heat that is transferred through the attic and into my house.
